Project Overview
Animated Postcard is a motion design project that combines photography, animation, and digital editing to create a short visual narrative inspired by travel postcards. The goal of the project was to transform static imagery into a dynamic piece of digital media that communicates a sense of place and atmosphere through motion and pacing.
My Role
I created the motion design, animation, and all visual edits used in the final piece. While the base photographs were sourced from free-use image libraries such as Pixabay, the animation, composition, and overall visual presentation were fully developed by me.
Creative Approach
The project focuses on using movement, transitions, and layered visual elements to guide the viewer through the scene. By combining multiple images and introducing animated elements, I aimed to recreate the feeling of receiving a postcard while adding a modern multimedia dimension. Careful attention was given to pacing, composition, and visual flow to ensure the animation feels engaging and cohesive.
Outcome
The final piece demonstrates my ability to transform static imagery into engaging motion graphics through animation and digital editing. This project highlights my skills in motion design, multimedia storytelling, and creative post-production.
