Project Overview: Animated Postcard is a motion design project that transforms static travel imagery into a short, dynamic visual narrative. The project explored how animation, pacing, and editing can communicate a sense of place more effectively than still photography alone.
My Role: I handled all motion design, animation, and post-production editing. Source photographs were drawn from free-use libraries; the animation, composition, and visual presentation were developed entirely by me.
Creative Approach: The project uses movement, layered transitions, and carefully timed visual elements to guide the viewer through the scene. The goal was to recreate the feeling of receiving a postcard while adding a contemporary multimedia dimension — balancing energy with atmosphere.
Outcome: The finished piece reflects my ability to build cohesive motion narratives from existing assets, a process that closely mirrors real-world motion design work where editors shape and elevate source material rather than shoot everything from scratch.
