Project Overview: Beauty in the Garden is a close-up photography project focused on the textures, colors, and quiet details found within a garden environment. The project was an exercise in slowing down and finding compelling compositions in everyday natural spaces.
My Role: I photographed and edited all images in the series, making decisions about composition, exposure, and color at both the shooting and post-production stages.
Creative Approach: Shallow depth of field and natural light were used to isolate individual subjects — flowers, leaves, surfaces — while keeping the surrounding environment soft and atmospheric. The emphasis was on composition and restraint: finding the image within the scene rather than imposing one onto it.
Outcome: The final series demonstrates an eye for detail and a patient approach to observational photography, qualities that translate to product, nature, and editorial work.
